I try to start OS X 10.6.8, it fails during boot. I'm using a Macbook Pro 15-inc, Late 2008 (MacBookPro5,1) with OS X 10.8.2 VirtualBox 4.2.1 is installed. I switched from VirtualBox 4.2.12 to 4.1.26 because I read on line that 4.1.26 worked for installation of 10.6 Server but 4.2.12 did not. I have a number of programs (legally owned) with dongles that will not run on 10.11.5 and are extremely expensive to upgrade.
